Day-by-Day Itinerary
Departure from Lahore Friday night at 10:30 PM from Daewoo Terminal, Thokar Niaz Baig. Travel towards Islamabad.
Pick up of trip members from designated points in Islamabad. Departure for Chilas at around 04:30 AM. Travel through scenic routes with stops on the way. Arrive at Chilas & check-in. Dinner & overnight stay in Chilas.
Breakfast in the morning. Departure towards Rama Meadows. Arrival at Astore Bazaar and transfer to 4x4 jeeps for onward journey. Visit Rama Meadows, start hike to Rama Lake. Overnight stay in tents/hotel in Rama Meadows.
Breakfast in the morning. Departure towards Minimarg. Stop at Chilam Check Post, transfer to local jeeps. Drive through Burzil Top (if open). Visit Minimarg Valley and the scenic Domail - Rainbow Lake - Crystal Lake. Overnight camping at Domail.
Breakfast in the morning. Depart towards Deosai Plains. Short stop at Burzil Top. Visit Sheosar Lake. Free time to explore Deosai National Park. Return to Astore in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast in the morning. Drive towards Naran. Stop at scenic checkpoints along Babusar Top route. Arrive in Naran, check into hotel. Dinner & overnight in Naran.
Breakfast call. Start journey back. Stop at Balakot / Abbottabad. Reach Islamabad by evening (approx. 08:00 PM) and Lahore late night. End of journey.

The hike from Rama Meadows to Rama Lake takes about 1 to 1.5 hours of steady uphill walking. It is of moderate difficulty. Ponies are also available for hire locally.
Since this is an off-grid mountain area, you should pack warm fleece layers, a rain jacket, sturdy trekking shoes, personal toiletries, and any required medications.
